The Books of the Harmony of the Gospels

Well, here you are.  The "cover" to the books - so to say.  The button at the bottom of the page will take you to the index to these books.  But before you dive in, let me explain a few things to you so you have a understanding on how things are laid out.

As you open each book, you will find a listing of events and the authors with the corresponding verses.

For example:

Event

Matthew

Mark

Luke

John

Luke's Introduction

1:1-4

Pre-fleshly state of Christ

1:1-18

Genealogy of Jesus Christ

1:1-17

Once you enter the book of your choice this table will vary slightly from this example.

Each Event is listed as a complete page and some pages are longer than others, depending on the number of verses.

Once at the page of your choice you will see it in the following format:

Luke's Introduction.

Luke 1:1 - 4

Luke 1:1  Forasmuch as many have taken in hand to set forth in order a declaration of those things which are most surely believed among us,

2  Even as they delivered them unto us, which from the beginning were eyewitnesses, and ministers of the word;

3 It seemed good to me also, having had perfect understanding of all things from the very first, to write unto thee in order, most excellent Theophilus,

4  That thou mightest know the certainty of those things, wherein thou hast been instructed.

RELATED REFERENCES

Acts 1:1  The former treatise have I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach,

As you can see, the example shows the event as a heading with the gospel's chapter and verses from which it came from.

The bold numeral 1 indicates the start of a paragraph whilst the numbers in dark grey represent the verses within the paragraph.

All verses are from the Authorized Version.

The related references allow you to cross reference the event and there are notations (not seen here) at the end of some verses that will show you prophecies, listed in the Old Testament, that were fulfilled or yet to be fulfilled.

There is one more thing to mention. Enjoy and God Bless.
